The best way to install the Swan Decoy is to anchor it with a heavy weight in the water so that it will move with the wind or current. You could also tie to a stake in the ground which would be easier to remove but make sure it doesn’t just stay against the shoreline motionless.
Another Decoy is the Dead Goose Decoy. It shows a goose in the agony position showing a fresh kill. Its best to have more than one of these decoys to give the birds the impression that there is a predator in the area. This kit has 2 birds plus anchors so you can put them in the water.
Here are some 2D decoys just in case you do want to try them before investing more money. But they don’t really work as well because the birds will see that it’s a 2D poster from the air. The reasons the decoys work is because it stops the geese from landing on your lawn.
